Our love story began in Rochester, NY back in 2012. Growing up in Massachusetts only 15 minutes apart, Jamie frequently visited the ice cream shop that Jenn worked at throughout high school and college summers. Somehow though, it still took 400 miles for Jenn and Jamie to meet. They immediately clicked over their love of travel, food and country music.

After a great first year together, Jamie began graduate school at Wake Forest in North Carolina, while Jenn was finishing her senior year in Rochester. But Jamie and Jenn wouldn’t let a few miles get in their way. Jamie flew to visit Jenn almost twice a month, connecting through every major airport on the east coast that year. The flight delays and cancellations during the Rochester winter were clearly worth it!

After college graduation, Jenn moved to NC to take a research coordinator position at Duke before starting medical school at Wake Forest. Excited to put an end to the long distance, Jamie and Jenn moved into their first apartment together where they took full advantage of the NC weather by playing soccer, tennis, and joining an upstart kickball team.

Since that first night they met at college, they've attended 80 concerts, traveled to 25 US cities and 6 countries, graduated with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and MD. Three summers ago, Jamie popped the question on the beach in Hilton Head. After slipping a fake flyer under their hotel room door saying that Crazy Stupid Love was playing on the beach at dusk, Jenn begged Jamie to go (who doesn't love a good chick flick?!) When they arrived, there was an 8 minute movie featuring their favorite songs and pictures/videos of their relationship. At the end, Jamie got down on one knee and popped the question there on the beach at sunset. After 10 years of dating, 4 apartments, 1 dog, and 2 COVID-related wedding postponements we are so excited for this new chapter to FINALLY begin!
